Zgemma and IPTV recording issue

Hi guys maybe it's me, but streaming content on my Zgemma h2s using wooshbuild and works flawlessly without issues, but when I try to press record I get an X in the top right hand corner....

Recording and time shift works fine on the sat channels without issues and was wondering if this a limitation or a setup config issue.....

Anyone else have the same issue?

When in iptv player you are either steaming or recording
This is instigated by the green button which toggles between player or recorder.

Sorry confused...iam streaming from IPTV plugin and pressing the green button shows the subtitle menu..

Just want to record what iam streaming from IPTV plugin
 
Not in front of screen but from memory
When you locate the item you want to view you normally press ok and it will play.
If you press the green button prior to ok this toggles from play to record.
Look along top of screen and you will see this.
It is normally something like playback/record and will toggle to record/playback when pressing green button.
Once you have it in download area you rhen press green again to commenced download .

You can
Once you start downloading you can go back and add more.
These will be added to the queue and be downloaded serially.
Once download manager has started you can come out of it either stream another or watch tv/radio whilst the downloads continue in background.
These will show in file list when completed.

You can record the IPTV stream on the zgemma h2s.
Not sure why others say you cant but heres what I do
Select the channel you want to watch and start streaming it. Then press the SMALL red button on your remote. This brings up the recording options for you, simply choose which one and away you go.
You will not have the luxury of watching another stream while recording one, but you can record a stream from iptv and watch a satellite channel at the same time :)

So yes you can mate

Just out of curiosity can you set something to record later on a iptv stream or can you only record what is currently on?

I would have though you could use the EPG for the IPTV and set a timer as with satellite, but I have not tested this as yet.
 
ah, if you record the stream then this would be the same as downloading...would the ISP provider not have records of this as the data is not encrypted/running a VPN?

Yes, ISP Providers keep records or all your internet activities for the last 12 months should they need to hand this over to the police.
In reality your just one of 100,000s of people watching TV/streaming a film, recording a film. Can or have the the power to prosecute each and everyone - who knows, it doesn't seem to bother all the folk on here.
 
maybe there is a FREE VPN Plugin for the Zgemma, that will allow a manual start, stream/record IPTV services, then disconnect when finished?

Possibly, anything that is free is usually slow so may have a negative effect on your download.

Even paid for VPN's can be slow, but do work at router level.

I have mine set up with a script the iptv recording is different from sat you have to go onto auto timer and press add then choose channel and show u want to record took me a while to figure it out but use the red button to record not the record button
