I was out cycling on Sunday, and long story short, a sealed bearing ring in the rear wheel seized, Luckily, I had a spare here, so I took a bit of time Monday to knock out the old and put in the new, got out today for 42km @ 26.5 kph - just to test it. Turns out it needed a bit of settling in, so when I came back in, I had to tighten it up again.
Next project up is replacing the disk brake pads and to fill up the Hydraulic fluid in the resevoir, plus ensire that there is no air i it (bleed it) - just waiting on the fluid and pads to arrive.
anyone else gotten out lately? I'm up to 181 km for January, which is a good start towards my target for 2021 of 4,000 km for the year (I'm normally not a great winter cyclist) in comparison to last years 2,500 km.
Probably a stupid question, but can a seized sealed bearing be freed?
