WilloBuild WilloBuild OpenViX 6.5 Series

Try this first:

Connect to the box with putty and paste the following:

Bash:
wget --no-check-certificate -O WillobuildUpdate.sh http://www.willobuild.net/files/scripts/WillobuildUpdate.sh && bash WillobuildUpdate.sh

I went through the box of tricks in the shed. I've about 8 or 10 PSUs, invariably they are not the right voltage or end connection. I found 3 12v ones and was stunned to find that one had the right end connection! It never happens. That confirmed that the old PSU is fine as it hung on the same startup spot. So has anyone ever seen this happen on a formerly working machine where the PSU is 100%.

I've no idea. I did not change anything. Why would it happen out of the blue? You recommend I try a reflash via putty so.
You seem flabbergasted that something that worked now does not, this can't be the first time this has happened to you?
Have you never owned a car?

The 12v supplies all have different amp ratings, 3A, 5A, 10A etc
If the one you found in the shed was lower amp than the original it won't power it up.
What amp is your original?

Order a new higher rated one off amazon or ebay. This happens about ten times a week in this forum. New psu always cures the problem

Having a couple of issues,

Movie organisor is missing tried to load it but getting the message below.

bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `('
/bin/sh: -c: line 1: `/usr/bin/opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-movieorganisor_3.80_all (1).ipk'

Willo updater seems to have a problem connecting to the server too.

I did have a funny issue a could of weeks back where my two boxes wouldn't boot up, I reflashed and restored might be something to do it.

I've temporarily disabled the feeds for 6.4 because I've done a massive upgrade to the skins and the new ones don't play nicely with the old ones.
I also disabled the updater for the same reason.
A fresh flash should work okay.

I suppose I could have just removed the skin related files but it was too much of a faff and I didn't think there were enough people using it to cause issues.

For the ipk

Check the file name doesn't have (1) then remove that so it is named "enigma2-plugin-extensions-movieorganisor_3.80_all.ipk"

This is totally unacceptable 🤣

Yes reflash it via putty or a working USB stick. Do you remember the box IP address if not you can look in the router settings to see which devices are connected. If your box is listed type that IP address into a browser it should open up webif homescreen
I've been really missing my box this year, and am trying to get it fixed today, It's hung on the starting openviz/willobuild screen and we established via this forum it was not the PSU. I can't ping the device on the IP it used and checking my router it's not connected which makes sense since it hangs on the startup. Looking at https://willobuild.net/files/info/willobuild.pdf it says USB installs can't be done anymore only over putty, Is there any way of doing a reinstall in this case?

Thanks. Tried tonight. Copied formuler1 to the Fat32 formatted USB plugged in as my E-drive. Turned off sat box, put USB stick in the back, powered it on, says Formuler on the front screen as normal, pressed the remote power button and the red light appeared to right of the front display, still there 10 minutes later. More trouble sotting later... I have a feeling I'll never be able ti sue this box again :-(

Not sure if it's a Willobuild issue. When I record an iptv channel, it can be hit and miss which is fair enough on my enigma2 boxes. When it successfully record playback of the file is pretty terrible kinda like breaking up . Sound is fine but kinda like a code issue. Any ideas.

Note it happens on both my boxes vu+ and zgemma both running Willo build on openvix

Thanks

Which plugin are you using.

I don't think there is a reliable way of recording IPTV, it's always been hit and miss on any box with any image.
Use catchup to watch or download a recording.

I'm using Bouquet Maker Xtream and then adding the iptv channel to my daily bouquet.

Ah well it sounds to be hit and miss no matter the setup
