Hi, sorry for butting in here, But, in in Kildare, Iv a basic cable feed, and a Dreambox 500c which Iv not used in a few years, I went Sat, is there anyway to set up a 500c with a line to get it running again.
The image on it is from 2011 so ill need a new one. Iv searched and from what I read, it should be possible, but can't seem to find any recent tutorials on how to do it. Any help appreciated.

Right, I've done a scan on 43217/291000/6887/Qam 64 and pulled in 261 TV and radio channels, would that be close to what I should be getting?
Only found 3 or 4 channels clearing but the picture is very jumpy and sound is very tinny, would that be a cable quality issue?
In abm I'm still only getting virmin UK area 47253 dublin :( and that's after a software update, will I need to flash the box with an up to date image?
Sorry for being such a pain with all the questions but I'm new to all this.

The signs are looking good, I'd say you cable could be an issue alright or if you're using a splitter could be that too. A new image maybe your only answer for ABM.

Try using a signal booster. It may help matters.

Should be grand, how are the connections on the cables?
I hooked it up to the TV in the other room earlier that has the original VM cable running in to the VM router, split that and ran it in to the Edison and I picked up 313 TV and radio channels and the ones that are clearing are much better, not jumpy at all.
