dsayers image is ok to use too

from the white or brown cable box to house use a short coax cable to splitter
look at picture on this

Dsayers is aimed at those using both sat and cable tuners, bioheads is aimed at those using cable only but to be honest the backup image being used shouldn't make a difference to the channels you can get, the only exception being if you are using dsayers but not using sat tuner then dsayers scripts could well be swapping channels.

I suggest doing the following when checking cable channels:

1. disable sat tuner
2. make sure net id is correct and set in both tuner configurations AND ABM
3. run abm scan, you should find over 300 channels (can't remember exact figure)
4. check bbc1 sd, if you get a picture then you should be ready to go.
5. If not getting bbc1 SD check the singal strength in Menu -> setup ->service Searching -> signal finder, if low then check cables/splitters etc

most issues occur due to incorrect kit, get proper splitters and cables. Then reflash the box if needed.

virmin engineers use tratec technetix splitters, also use webro WF100 cable with compression fittings

I think I will have to invest in a cable as I have the correct netid as did check with couple of my mates that have official virgin boxes. but I know I get no signal on low freqz

try the box at a different place to see if it scans and works there.
most issues involved are crappy cable and splitters in use

I think you are right:(y):, After changing my coax cable, all my channels apart from the channels on 667 freq are now clearing. happy days . Got SSNHQHD back but funny enough not SDo_O. But I think I will settle for this now. After 2 splitters and 1 cable change we are 95% almost there.
