Looks like a GPS Antenna, does your car have a built in sat nav.

No but it does have the old traffic master

Yes that what its for its the Antenna for it. GPS tracking.

Yes its not a ford fit part. so if you no longer using the traffic master you can just cut it off and pull the wire from under the dash.

I have never used the traffic master only got the car sat what is traffic master for please

Traffic master can be used for a number of things, Used in fleet cars so the employer knows where the car is going or where there employee is. Taxi companies use it and also some insurance companies use it to track the car if it is stolen.
