Hi I'm new to zgemma h2h and would like a dummy's guide to the zgemma if possible

Are you looking to run cable only or both cable and Satelitte simultaneously.
If the former I'd recommend the Biohead image (there also is an installation guide) ; http://www.techkings.org/threads/biohead-image-openatv-5-3-with-vskin-cable-only.94055/

If the latter, can't go wrong with dsayers, I'd recommend the 5.3 ATV for now at least (also includes a guide);

There are two operating systems (at least that I know of) that the zgemma can run; vix and ATV. ATV runs natively whereas vix is made compatible??? (Please correct me, all I know is that it's messier)
Both images linked run on the ATV OS. The forums linked should help getting the ball get rolling
