Or spider VPN they will give you a free router.Currently got a mag 256 and been told they don't support a vpn, is there a better box for iptv that does support a vpn and won't get prone to blocks, where can I get a box that is preloaded with a sub.
Most iptv providers are warning people may have to start using a VPN. It is for your security as much as the the supplierWhy are you worried about a vpn? Get a provider who isn't blocked, or at least knows how to get around the blocks...
Hi, I have a skybox F5S which I stopped using a couple of years ago and went back to genuine sky!! Their prices have gone mad and I’m looking to either re use the skybox or get a totally new system so I have popped back in to tech kings for help and advice. I am anything but tech savvy (otherwise a tech idiot) and I need a setup that is easy to work and update. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to buy and a great UK provider that will get me set up with all uk channels and maybe USA channels as well.
Any advice, help etc will be much appreciated, cheers.
lol - jump on the thread :p
I think F5S has had its day! There are plenty options out there!
Most iptv providers are warning people may have to start using a VPN. It is for your security as much as the the supplier
As stated before, suppliers I know recommend not to use vpn (and some actually actively block vpn access), because of issues with people abusing and restreaming... And as said, a good supplier will be able to get around the blocks, so a vpn isn't of any need anyway...
What about the 'downtime' whilst the supplier is working on a fix?
Its of my opinion there is a slight contradiction in your message.
If there is a block a good supplier will be able to get around the blocks - assuming there is downtime whilst the supplier is fixing the issue, having a VPN in place will prevent the downtime in the fist instance.................so its always best to be prepared/have a backup.
Also, with all these changes in privacy laws, etc - prob another reason to use a VPN.
Having said all of that, I don't use a VPN myself lol!
They will never say you cannot use a VPN during match time for the simple reason most businesses use them as part of there security. In regards to downtime. Yes, there is a slight amount of downtime ... usually just a couple of minutes, at most... lol.
Also, if everyone just starts moving over to using VPNs, then it won't be long before they start saying they will be cracking down on VPNs, and start banning these during match time. As it's actually easier for them to get the IP address of the VPN servers... Then, it stops all the people who are using VPNs for legitimate reasons, such as hacking, or trying to bypass the pr0n (another reason why they will probably start to try blocking VPNs in future)
