box wont start...help please

first of all sorry if im in the wrong category....ive an xtrend 8500, openvix, cable sub.
i switched my box off at the back last night and when i switched it back on im getting this software error page, says box will restart in 10secs, but then it just goes back to the error message.
is there a way to fix it? thanks

If you go to home/root/logs and copy the error log and attach it here, someone will most likely understand it.

Re flash the box by USB, it should sort it.

is there a tut for reflashing? ive done a search but they all seem to just mention reflashing without saying how you do it.
I'm a noob so thanks for your patience

only did it cos i tried fixing epg but nothing changed, so i thought maybe I should restart box to instigate the changes....fkin gutted now!!

crap happens and a reflash will sort you out providing you saved your cfg and line to pc first.

tried all night to reflash the box and nothing, still stuck on that error screen.

Flash diff image then flash vix again ive had probs flashing new image same fault still there so flash with other than vix then flash vix again will solve it

thing thats puzzling me is...
when I took the kingston usb stick(fat32) out the back of the box, i put it in my laptop and the stick is completely empty, is this normal?

No, the software should still be on the usb stick m8 ???

im no expert but even i thought the stick should have something on it, isnt the epg stored on it? mines empty.
does that mean my box isnt reading usb sticks or something?

edit... actually i have wifi usb dongle on the box and its worked fine so the box must be reading usb. cant get my head round this!!
