dm 500s blackcat usb ejtag

hi all
does anyone know if i can use a usb blackcat to jtag a dm500 i have no serial ports on my laptop
i have tried usb rs232 and dreamup but it doesn't find the box

usb , no cant use that as far as i no.. whats the problem with dreambox, any power getting to it

hi theres lights on the front but nothing else i have a usb serial but cant get it to find the box

connect internetcable from modem to back of box, go into menu ,setup, network, check ip address.

If there's nothing but a green light, I don't think he can access the expert menu.

there is only lights on but no one home
i can change the light from green to red by holding down standby if thats anything but other than that nowt
is there no other way as this usb serial is realy gettin to me now ive trid it in virtual xp mode and downloaded about thirty different drivers some install some dont but none work with dreamup
any advise please

hi can anyone help with this box i dont have parralel port or serial i have usb serial ethernet cable and crossover connector
i can get comunication with the usb rs232 with dreamup and optiflasher as far as it detects and seethe port but dont get anything else
any help would be great
