does ireland have a cable box?

i thought it was a new unheard of box hence the query but as people into sat would be well up with the name dreambox ,so many variants were made dvb/s dvb/c and dvb/t unsure if terrestrial still works or works with freeview in uk.
dreamboxes were the first c/s boxes made probably, all clones now so we now have a little avenue if things go pearshaped,nice to know not fully dead here yet;)
should have added one reason why dreambox cable boxes get overlooked is because one cannot find a cable card server,unlike sat as they are everywhere and advertise.

Rumours are abound about the end of c/s
it's been going on for months but nobody
has any real proof about anything.
But I read somewhere they where offering the upgrade
because they can't handle HD and some Sky+ functions.
Then some people added on the rumour of pairing cards with
boxes hence the end of c/s.
It may may turn out to be true at some stage but who knows ?

They done the same in Austrila,,same story same tactic
and look what happened over there.as you say we will
iust have to wait and see.
From what i have heard they hope to get the change
done before the end of October.
Look i have interest in c/s as well so lets see what
turns out.But i know guys who invested heavy in other
ways.
