Hi,

Having now got the Formuler setup with a sub looking to setup the DVR.

Is it as simple as getting an external USB HDD and plugging it in and adjusting settings?

Any advice on type of drive or size?

Recording IPTV isn't the same as recording satellite channels.
You have to have a multiroom sub to begin with.
Even then it's haphazard as to whether the programme will record or not, maybe it will, maybe it won't.
Most providers offer catch up, maybe better trying that first

Yes. Formuler recommend NTFS format. If you're doing alot of recording then you'd want >1TB to save you from deleting often.

If you plan to watch and record another channel you'll need multi room
