freeview channels

can anyone tell me if freeview boxes work in ireland and where can i get one in dublin If they do what type of channels can i get and roughly how many . I have s?y box and dish but no card

A card will be required in order to view channels on your Sky Box, as far as freeview is concerned, this may well be the answer:

I have heard of no successful Freeview reception in Dublin - the furthest south I have heard is in north Louth and in Cavan town.

i,m at the moment i'm setting up a freeview box which I got in lidl awhile back, they do work. the channels so far are itv1,itv2,itv3- bbc1-2 and a couple of crappy movie channels 5or6 good music channels. there are more as I said just started to set up but the weather in cork is not the best at the moment for fine tuning. hope it helped you

looking at the new technomate 3000d freeview good quality picture once off payment just hook up to sky sat,found a use for my old 1000d for extra channels,plenty of deleting to do with multi channels lol.
