Box needs reflashing every time

Reflashing every time what? ... if you don't mess with it and install dodgy 3rd party plugins, you'll be fine ;)

Flash with a new backup image... (Dsayers or BioHead or WooshBuild Or WilloBuild)

Might be that the image is outdated or you are using a pluging that is not supported or causing corruption.
