HD Channels

Now that BT Sports seems to have bitten the dust do you ever think we will see the return of HD channels or are we just to enjoy the SD ride while we can? Surely there is someone out there in a dark room trying to crack the encryption!

I sure hope so only just got my box and BT sports is gone cant even get bt sports sd for some reason :(

Its been around a while so mabye it has been cracked by some wizkid and perhaps they are waiting for Sky to switch over to it for all their channels so they can unleash the crack?

Would make sense but yeah the end could be sooner rather than later now.

Dont think the end will be soon as it would cost s*y a fortune upgrading all their customers to the HD boxes. Hopefully by the time that happens someone has cracked it

I wouldn't count on it they've had more than long enough to crack it unfortunately it's now only a matter of time before its finished

You can always get HD through iptv for the matches

I'll release the sat.xml tomorrow to remove them if anyone wants to try it and release the fix ftp usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers and right click edit on sat_282_sky_uk.xml and look for whitelist and just simply delete all btsports hd channels ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING I WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR SID NOT FOUND OR CANNOT READ DATA always backup the files you're going to edit .


For anyone using autobouqete e2 I can only advice looking at the **********.txt and deleting or placing a # in front of the hd channels again ensure you have a backup of the original files before editing

Abm have already released an updated version of the xml file on their github site, but u can download it here from my dropbox

ABM

ftp the file for your area to the following folder

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/systemplugins/autobouquetsmaker/providers

Then on remote press menu/setup/service searching/autobouquetsmaker and choose to delete bouquets. Reboot box, then go back to same menu and start scan.

Then on remote press green, highlight autobouquets e2 and press ok, then press green and say yes to a nit scan.

SD is fine, HD has been paired so has gone like all the other HD channels on the sat side

Does IPTV stream in the same HQ HD as via DVB-S2?

Bought a box at the start of the year so I could get the BT Sport for the occasional hockey match in HD as well as the freesat channels.
Shame if it only lasted this long...

I've not found a IPTV stream as good as HD via the TV, they tend to be reduced HD quality to possibly save bandwidth. If you want HD then your only real option is cable if you can.

yes it looks like it.

ive found a way to add an updater to the menus on atoubouquetmarker

unzip this View attachment updateproviders.rar and ftp both updateproviders.pyo and menu.pyo to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker reboot box.

now on box you menu, setup service searching, autobouquetsmarker, you can select update config files this will check github for the latest sat.xml files you're using in providers and updates them for you no more need to ftp them

thanks to pembo for writing the script and Huevos for creating the pyo files this menu will be available in future updates of autobouquets marker
