yes done reboot using 32gb stick , error go off screen when press the exit button , thanks guys for the replys , just puzzled as how to correct it

Menu -> Setup -> Recording & Timeshift -> Timeshift -> Location

Check that the location is pointing to the USB Device. It is better to re-select the location even it it looks right.

32gb isn't that large for storage. Have you looked in the trash can and deleted?

32 is for recording , working ok just the above images pop up on screen

so is problem resolved, did you select yes and all working? Your USB is not being recognised correctly by the time shift settings. If you followed the instruction in post 5 and still keep seeing the popups then you need to initialise.
go intomount manager and see what the format is for the USB /HDD, if its showing asExt then it should be fine, if its showing as something else then you needto initialise. And yes you will lose anything stored. If you want to makebackups first that's up to you.
