M8 not loading?

Mates give me this thinking I'm Stephen Hawkins no idea.stays on the screen in the pic.no rs232 so not sure.any ideas appreciated it's an m8.

If it has been working, why not try a factory reset, can't do any harm, there is a reset button behind the AV socket on the back, press it with a pin.
I had one that arrived to me like that, and I had to send it back, there was nothing That could be done - tried everything the chinese guys told me to do to no avail.

Done that pic on screen goes but just black screen then.Ill have a fiddle later today if no joy ill tell him to stop buying these dodgy thingslol.Cheers wheels;)

Google something like "upgrade m8 firmware by USB" it will show a method of re-installing OS , if that doesn't work, for me, it's jiggered.
If it's new send it back, if not send it to Beni for his pool collection of dead electronics. lol
