Cable Openbox v8s

Im new to this. Ive been looking at openbox v8s
Do they work through cable or only satellite?
Ive got VM atm and want a box instead? Do i need to go the zgemma route?

V8s is only sat mate.zgemma H1 and H2 have a sat and cable tuner best of both worlds if needed.
