upgrade box

hi all.
looking to upgrade my sat box,currently have a scrambley skybox f5.gunna get a better line.so i'm after a new box thats got a decent firmware,nice epg,and auto updates frequency changes/channel list.any help help would be great..

If you want something with all the features you listed for around the openbox price you can get ibox 2 plus se.

If budget £240 or more go with a Gigablue or VU+Solo2

For around £100 you could get either the Technomate TM-Nano-SE (single tuner receiver with official support for OpenVIX) or the Zgemma Star 2S (twin tuner receiver so you can watch one channel and record another) the latter has official support for OpenATV, OpenDroid but only unofficial OpenVix.

Slightly cheaper is the Cloud Ibox 2+ SE which is from the same people as the Zgemma but is only a single tuner.

Whatever you go with good luck, all have the ability to automatically update frequencies and auto download a 7 day epg. You won't believe the advantages of a proper linux box until you have one!

what i like about the solo2 is the ability to watch things without messing around with stuff.

If u do go ibox2+ make sure it the newer model as less/no chance of fakes.
