Hello all new to these boxes also first time poster my question is this trying to find the ip address so when I click on menu settings network it just keeps rebooting the box any idea why this would be thanks in advance

Sounds like yr installation is corrupt it shouldn't do that
Try reflashing it

If you log into your router you should see the connected ip in there but not the point I know

Use advanced ipscanner for windows. You will see all in you're network

How's it connected to the network , wired to an active router , why do you want the ip ?

So someone can log into the box for me to look at something seen it done with a laptop before and they could operate the box

Openwebif it's called yes. It should be enabled by default via ip address on your local network. The methods above will give you it or just go up from 1-13 say in your usual ip range and you should find it ;)

That's the thing how do you get the laptop to conect to the box and show the remote and screen

Just type in the ip in address bar and that's it. Scroll from 2 to 15 whatever should get in eventually

What happens when you press Blue button...down to Network..and across to Network Interface?
