Hi All,
I'm new to this forum looking to buy a new receiver for use on cable would this be the best starter box for me to go for as I would like to set the box up myself using a virmin format.

The H2H is a good starter box. Quite quick, supported by open atv, pli (vix unofficial).

If you have cable and sat, consider Dsayers image. You can also use KiddaCs barebones guide to do your own setup from scratch.
