You were told that it would do this. It was in the upgrade notes that you needed to do this and you wrote you had no usb stick to back your channels up. No point asking why when you knew if would happen.

I have been in contact with a webshop in Algeria? they sent a firmware update, plus firmware links from "Techkings" Please see picture, cursor will not move to right to hover over the "x"

It shows most of the 3pm sat games and all the others, as they have other leagues showing live games if there's more than 4 x 3pm epl games which is unusual these days then sometimes odd one is missed but they have used SS1 sports news channel for games as well.

Have you tried running the box through wifi rather than ethernet just incase it's that causing your problem ? Since you mentioned the iptv isn't working either so might be worth a try disconnecting the ethernet rebooting box and connecting via wifi to see if any different.

Does anyone feel like explaining the reasons why only some channels open (on UK for instance), and some don't? Back in the days of CS using an E2 box, 28.2 would clear and all channels would open. But with the Forever system, only certain HD channels do. Is it a case of needing 1 source feed per channel that you want to open or something? So focus would be on the most important/popular channels. Just curious.

Thanks for your hints. Youtube works. CCCam works, Always shows as connected via ethernet. I tried the 1ptv and the channels downloaded but "live" TV wouldn't play. VOD/series played OK. Also tried Wireless, box couldn't find our router (which is less than two meters away.
Ordered another box. I'll have another go before I send it back. Thanks.

Update, reconnected to wifi, BOX ID comes up. thanks. 1ptv not working good

The GT Madia v8 box does not come with Iptv only satellite channels on the mars package.
Just guess work, it is what the card they use has permissions for, it could also be they dont have all the idents on the server as they may not be aware of them, although i did hear it mentioned it was to reduce server load, which i found strange.
I the past user have mentioned missing channels to their SP1-Mars supplier BT Sport comes to mind and they were added.
No one card will open all available channels.

That's good to hear, I've personally been using wifi since i bought my box and it has been spot on. Although i hope my ethernet works fine too incase i ever need it 😅 Did you add your own iptv sub to the box as i know there is an app to do that ? I did try the vod app that come with box when i 1st got mine and it worked pretty well.
