New Skybox F3S/F4S/F5S SW with full working EPG Record function!

I did try that. Will it show EPG in the Network App? I never looked in there i just downloaded it and tried to make it work
 
I did the update and the New epg layout is there except it isn't showing any times for anything at all not even what's on now. Any ideas?
 
Depends what channel your on. For some reason the movie channels have no data.

But have you gone into the settings, changed to xmltv and updated the epg data? It should download then install the epg data.
 
IMHO don use the pic on firmware I sell the boxes and have seen on a few 5s I have sold it locks up the box a lot. I sell my boxes with a nov firmware one on with epg added (only works if a USB stick in)
 
this was my concern satman i have moved on to the solo which can handle this sort of app no problem. however, i did have doubts about the skyboxes being able to handle these apps longterm.
 
My f5s has been fine. No problems what so ever. I think it could do with more power. I have an external hdd connected with its own power supply and when time shift is on I still get intermittant sound loss.

I'm ordering a solo2 soon though and the f5s will be going in bedroom as a kind of multi room box ;)
 
Picon file just needs to be on the root of the ext hdd or USB ten left in. Make sure ya turn picon off and back on again. Should be 282E file in the picon menu.

this tells me you didnt read the readme file, it tells you to use the picon tool and how to upload picons

.Add timer function for XMLTV EPG , press "OK" to select the Event.
Timer Service "Channel": play the Event On Time.
Timer Service "Record": Record the Event On Time by usb HDD.
goto the "Micro Panel", Select "Timer Setting" to view the Timer Events. NOTE: "XMLTV EPG": goto "Sytem Setup" Enter "EPG And Time Setting" to config.
2.Add picon function.
a. Copy the ics files to the usb device, goto the "MultiMedia", select
"Picon View" to View the icons infomation, or Switch on off. We provide
the DEMO ics file on 13E,19.2E, 28.2E.
b. A PC tool to edit icons will be released soon .

I have the picon but no options apart from on or off
 
I updated the epg there but I can't record future programmes from the epg by pressing Ok and I If I hit record it will only record the channel that's on now not a future one. Is this the same for you?
 
I've tested my timer record from epg. Seems to setup correctly. I tested on BBC one hd went to Monday and clicked ok on eastenders (for the mrs lol). It put it into the timer list fine.
 
Now have EPG and picons working perfectly. I place all three icon files on root and they all showed up in the Picon View menu but the 28E ones show up in EPG no problems.

Another question: the epg informaiton shows GMT time....ie London. Is there a way to change the time so it shows my local time...ie GMT+1? I tried changing the time in the "EPG and Time Setting" under "GMT Offset" but this seems to only change time when, for example, I click 'Info' on remote and it shows the time at top right of display window. Any ideas? Thanks.

Same here, is there a way round it, any settings we missing?

it up and running within 30 mins or so.
couldnt find my timer recordings but thanks to Scottd83 , I can find them using the m/p button
