I'm new to all this, however after much reading I have USB flashed my ZGemma-Star S box, got the channels and EPG setup and even managed to change the bootlogo that appears on boot up/startup, to something more suitable!

However, I have a Cline which I've transferred to the ZGemma box using filezilla, yet I'm only getting the normal channels. I have pasted the C: ***** etc. into the ETC/CCcam.cfg file, but to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas? Do I also need to edit the newcamd.list in /usr/keys or should these be blank or perhaps not touched at all? Maybe it's a dud Cline, however I ran it through a testing site and it said it was okay (maybe I'm naive?!)

I think I'm pretty close here, so if anyone can help me over the line I'd welcome any useful advice.

After putting your cline in did you restart cccam in your softcams. Restart whichever cccam thats running on your box

Hi Garyth

Unbelievable! After trying everything what feels like a million times, I went back into Softcam Manager and even though I had previously tried running and restarting as both CCcam2.3.0 and mgcamd.1.38 I have now got it working! This time I selected CCcam2.3.0, restarted and boom!

Thanks for the little bit of inspiration Garyth and to anybody else that is struggling, stick with it. Also, for what it's worth, when inputting your Cline details into the ETC folder and then the CCcam.cfg file via filezilla, you do not need the 01 02 03 04 at the end of your Cline code.
 
Final question, with the night that is in it.
In the guide, it says the nline should look like

CWS = abcde.no-ip.biz 12345 rog123-4321 7654321 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

However, mine from provider starts like this

N: be........................01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

(....... being all the parts I have left out)

So, do I enter that as

CWS = N: be........................01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

I cant actually find where I posted that!
Anyway, press FileList (just above the green & yellow buttons), then press menu. Now select the top option, "settings" by pressing ok, and in the following screen, scroll down and change the 2nd and 4th lines, then press green button to save, then exit back out as usual.
Its in here you can also change the font size of your recording listings if you think the font is too big / small.

By the way, for others looking on, got it All going using Rusty's brilliant guide. I'm using sucmnsees variation on kiddacs skin and it was handy enough to be fair.
Had a small problem unit not seeing the hard drive USB stick but found another thread where sucmnsee went through process for initializing the stick etc and setting it up for us.
I'd be glad to answer any questions on setting up the zgemma 2s using said skin.

ok so. had some difficulty at first, purchased a brand new zgemma star 2s off the fleebay site. now I have a humax freesat box already so 4 port lnb 2 of which feed my humax off 28.2e and now the other spare 2 feeds off the lnb will feed my zgemma star 2s.

I have managed to at last flash it to: Zgemma star 2s Vix 3.2.021 sucmnsee full! Backup 02.12.2015

im midlands based so what lines do I need bit oh help here please.

plus ive formatted another sandisk 32gb usb drive ready for the epg. ive swapped the settings to hdd/sd on settings and re booted. do I need to change region if so how. plus what about my line. where do I get it from please

not done a channel tune yet. well did one in open atv 5.1 picked up 1000's with duplicates. since then only flashed it etc

any help im brand new but trying my best
 
As your using the back up All you need to do is read the first page as follow it

Amazing work for the thread for us newbies! Just one problem i have is the $ Sly channels don't work, just a black screen. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it very much.

Ok so it's n or c and is it in the correct config
nline edited in newcamd.list and cccam in cccam config. When you put your line in did you restart your cam either cccam or mgcam?

Yes its an N line and restarted the MGcam.

ok when you put your line into your box, did you just put the CWS = line part. Also which cam are you using 1.35 or 1.38.
Im using 1.38 without issues, you have saved the file where you put the line in yeah?
if so and cams are active try a full reboot, as in unplug and plug in again
