nline edited in newcamd.list and cccam in cccam config. When you put your line in did you restart your cam either cccam or mgcam?

Yes its an N line and restarted the MGcam.

ok when you put your line into your box, did you just put the CWS = line part. Also which cam are you using 1.35 or 1.38.
Im using 1.38 without issues, you have saved the file where you put the line in yeah?
if so and cams are active try a full reboot, as in unplug and plug in again

this is how i put the line in
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = server xxxxx xxxxxxxxx-xxxx 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

And the cam is 1.38
restarted a few times and still no luck :/

Take the cws_keepalive = 60 part out, just copy and paste what's underneath this, that will sort you out

That line is there for a good reason, as many people on here have already confirmed (myself included) that it stops the decode module going into sleep / standby (ie if you watch a Freeview channel for a while or a recording, your box sometimes will then not decode an encrypted channel unless you restart mgcamd). A right pain in the ar$e.

Does this happen with every box or just Zgemma? Just for future reference, don't use it on mines or my dreamboxes and never had an issue

I think that's down to the settings line provider has I don't fully grasp it myself but from what I've read some providers set the lines to go to sleep after a certain time of not been used to take stress of the server. So the keep alive is used to stop that happening if you haven't noticed then your fine.

Thanks for the feedback, obviously if I'm trying to help its best to give the correct information. The thing is I've tried using this on my 3 boxes and none of them have loaded up and cleared, however without, there's no issues.
I just don't want to misguide people on the forum, causes them more issues and as you know lots just give in when they get stuck. Lol

hi, start file explorer , look in tmp folder for two files one is mgshare.info other below is the stats file , see if your line is offline , found line spacing important , with one space between each section needed.
try pinging the server using a command prompt to see if server is online and responding to ping.

Might be a good idea to ask your provider if your line can be used in cccam . Not sure why your having these issues Eddy

are you sure mgcamd is running and you have the newcamd .list file in .var/keys (if you have not changed the mg_cfg file) even if the line is wrong it should be visible in the info file. select a scrambled channel when checking.

Hi guys...... Got myself a box and followed this guide it's excellent I haven't installed sucmnsee image yet as my box come with openvix 3.2 pre installed on it, the box thinks its a maxdigital xp1000 for some strange reason.

Would the sucmnsee image be better and do I install all the software updates or will it wipe my line etc says something like there is 152 available. :fear:

Also is there a way of adding channels to the favourite folder...... Just I would like to move the setanta HD into there.

Setanta HD, Premier HD, Boxnation HD - they are all in the normal sports bouquet if you follow my instructions (re custom area etc). Its people who dont know how to set up their box correctly who dont have them in that bouquet.

Setanta HD, Premier HD, Boxnation HD - they are all in the normal sports bouquet if you follow my instructions (re custom area etc). Its people who dont know how to set up their box correctly who dont have them in that bouquet.

Also if you don't want to scan roi you can press menu, setup, service searching, autobouqets marker, configure and change include not indexed channels to yes.
Now you can go to providers and change sky roi to no then start scan and still have satanta and premier hd in the sports bouquet.
