How to update your channel list for Skyboxes

Thanks for that I will just find the thread regards making a backup and will attempt tonight :rolleyes:

MENU
TOOLS
DUMP BY USB
I usually do both Misc Files and Image File
When backing up misc files, SELECT A DUMP, GREEN KEY ADD FOR TP_PROG.dbs, and CHANNEL_info CCcam.CFG (if you use cccam )
When backing up IMAGE File just go down to START

hi, i have asked this in a different section so thought i would put it in a correct section,i have not put any firmware on the v8 will i need to?? or can i just download channel list and put it straight on the v8 box

It "should" have firmware already installed, do a channel search in INSTALLATION, then restart, and then flash the channel list, restart again

Thanks Turbo10 I really do appreciate that but I really don't understand it dont suppose if you know if they is a guide for an idiot like me to follow :)I have seen the dump by usb in the menu section but will take a look when home

Hi well I tried it as instructed but when I started the flash it went straight to the end and when I pressed info on the report it just said file not found

I have managed to do it now dont think I copied it over properly first time so instead of copying link from forum copied straight from aj sat so no need to unzip which is where I went wrong I presume but thanks to you all for your help :)

Hey there. I got up this morning and all my sky channels are scrambled. Had the v8s for a month and had no problems and gifted for a year. Do I need to update the box myself? Not technically minded on them so any help would be appreciated. Cheers JP.

Ive deleted all my channels and researched them, I've got them all back but their not in any order and my Favs has disappeared?? Any suggestions?

The F6 & X5 boxes use different file formats to the other sky/openboxes. They use .bin files instead of .dbs files.

The menus are also different, so I'm not sure where your channel list goes.
