skybox f5s bricked

Hi need assistance to unbrick my skybox f5s . Tried via usb but programme freezing

Hi fellas. Sorry to be thick but what is 'bricked'?

My F5 was working fine but then screen went all fuzzy and now no power at all on box. Nothing. I bought another power adapter from maplin and nothing

Is this bricked? And is there a fix or nest buying new box?

Hi, my F5 bricked as well.

I can't flash via null modem, as i haven't a serial port.

Any other way?

You need the rs232 null modem cable with a prolific usb adapter---sold on the bay and then follow details in the recover thread.

What rubbish are you posting m8---there is no image for a skybox/openbox/libertview box---they use fixed firmware upgrades not image such as used for enigma boxes. If making a post please read first--be sure of your answer so as not to confuse others.

if you bought correct PSU with correct output - and box is still not powering up - then it looks like power supply has blown on main board
Turn it over and have a quick smell you should easily notice mate

Bricked is when box powers up but will is on constant loop and will not Boot up
