What's new

Talk bollocks thread.

Fireworks going over here like crazy already and its already giving me a headache.

I know a certain Chelsea supporter will relish tonight 😏

Ebay related.
Buyer bought a Formuler
z8 pro silicone cover .

Clearly says on my listing.
Will only fit z8pro, GTV, or Z10..
He wishes to return the item as will not fit Z8

Take into account the cover was factory sealed brand new.

I know I cannot win but now cannot resell, as new, as its been opened .
His latest message, he is partially sighted, and has not opened the item

How would he know the cover does not fit if not opened. Oh and if I refund him, positive feedback would be left.

In other words negative feedback would be left if I decline the refund. !!

Give me his email address, if he's registered here I'll blackmail him 😆.

Joking aside he bought the wrong item. If he's opened it surely it's on him?
His spoken English is bad, he hasn't had the intelligence to go through ebay returns process, it was mutual. As I said I know I cannot win.
But unless he sends the item back registered, as I asked.
It could sadly go missing in the post.. (joking)
The telephone number on his account is not valid

If are a private seller and have no returns accepted, ask him to open a case correctly - like 'I didnt like it' or 'I purchased the wrong one'.

Once he has opened the case - see if there is an option for to decline the return. Don;t decline it - straight away.

Send him a message, querying about how he knows it doesnt fit/ask him to send images via the case. Then tell him you are consulting ebay..............then revert back to the decline return. I'm sure ebay will remove the -tive feedback if you ask them to review it (keep messages)

If you are a business seller or dont need the hassle - just have to suck it up..........

I just sell when its cheap final value fees. Thank you for the advice. Its taken myself 19 years to maintain 100% feedback.
Some illiterate fool, with threats, is not cricket
( Excluding Yorkshire cricket club)

Negative feedback lasts for one year, similar situation happened to me a while back.
As he has not went through ebay, regards a return, purely good will on my behalf.

Buyer sends used goods back ..
I accept..
what's concerning is if I have the return. Nothing to stop him contacting ebay stating I never reimbursed him..
Along with mobile number that is not active.

Will contact ebay once I get the cover back. See where I stand.

You’re screwed either way. I sold a brand new £600 jacket on there. Buyer claimed it was fake. eBay told me if I didn’t refund they would refund him and he gets to keep the product. I hadn’t transferred the money from my PayPal account to my bank and the c*nts withdrew the money. I had to write several complaints to eBay to get my money back.

Sold something for about £650 a few months back and eBay kept the payment on hold until the buyer received the goods. I told the buyer I wasn’t going to send them, I wasn’t too bothered if he left me negative feedback when l £650 was at stake.

Shocking .. Ebay most of the time side with a buyer, I sell high value items a lot of the time, on some items I actually video the entire transaction from wrapping a parcel, to post office. Then photograph the item with tracking number. And forward the photograph to buyer. As proof of postage.

Ebay are absolute cants just like PayPal. Nearly all the time favours buyers.

I have had a negative left few weeks by a bloody fraudster who claimed item was not received and claimed with Royal mail when really only I can put a claim in.

Sent eBay tracking showing item was delivered and case was closed and luckily for me so was the negative.

As someone stated before if your a private seller if they open a return case with a buyer remorse reason like "doesn't like it" "doesn't fit" etc and you have no returns accepted in your listing you will have the decline option available. Worked a few times for me that has.

But where your a business seller have no choice to accept returns. Its in essence a lose lose for those sellers.

I can take a £10 hit, just do not take kindly to threats of malicious feedback, if I do not comply,
But we all no right from wrong. I totally agree t&c on ebay are ridiculous.
