What's new

Talk bollocks thread.

I can take a £10 hit, just do not take kindly to threats of malicious feedback, if I do not comply,
But we all no right from wrong. I totally agree t&c on ebay are ridiculous.

As he is threatening to leave you negative feedback unless you refund him that can fall under one of the guidelines for removal if he does leave one.

Also you can report him and let ebay have a look at his account more closely.

Good point. Mrs, already has the misuse of feedback t&c.
Seller honestly has no choice but to roll over. Millions of sellers have left eBay due to favourable decision makers.

Shocking .. Ebay most of the time side with a buyer, I sell high value items a lot of the time, on some items I actually video the entire transaction from wrapping a parcel, to post office. Then photograph the item with tracking number. And forward the photograph to buyer. As proof of postage.
The buyer claimed the jacket was fake. In the end he got to keep it for free but I received the money, so eBay was left out of pocket.

Yep and havent come back. I only use to sell a few things otherwise wouldnt bother.

Onbuy seems to be a popular growing platform for selling but not as big.

I lost out on ebay at the start of the year after purchasing a very trick pitbike engine, he was known on the pitbike scene and foolishly used the same username on the forums as he did on ebay.

The engine was sold as new never used, on arrival it clearly had been used and to make matters worse on fitting it it had lost 3rd gear. Reported to the seller it was not new he offered me a £50 refund off the total which i felt was an admission it was not new. Anyway Ebay paypal were having none of it and to my surprise sided with the seller.

In the end i just hounded him down on every forum he used and every thing he tried to sell i slated him as a bad seller did this for 3 months he cracked and refunded me in the end.

That is definately the way to do it mate, it is odd though that most times Fleebay and Paypal would nearly always side with the buyer, and now they seem to have changed theie stance in this case, VERY odd!

Very very rare occasion would either side with the seller mate,

99% of the time they favour buyers no matter what.

So what had changed in your case? Or are you just unlucky that the person at the other end of the computer decided to side with the seller?! I'll bet it was that bloody David Walliams😆

One item I sold a few years ago was brand new and genuine item my mom gave me to sell.

But buyer claimed it was fake and counterfeight.

Had taken photos, had reciept from the company as evidence provided to ebay who sided with me and later same with paypal when they opened a case with them.

Really some low life scum bags out there.

I agree mate, people will try and get anything for nothing, even though they are getting it cheap or cheaper than they would if they were to buy it from a shop.

Mind, you do get some real crap from Fleabay, but if you do your research you can also find some good deals from reputable sellers.

Not all will rip you off

I believe it was because i fitted it, after the seller gave me the run around on it not been a new engine to avoid the hassle i stupidly thought if it runs well ill take it on the chin, when i then complained again to the seller 3rd gear was gone he used that as proof id excepted it and claimed fitting and use was what caused the issue.

You live and learn in truth he knew he had sold me a used engine missing 3rd.

Ahh right, but how would you ever know without fitting it and connecting it up? It is not the same as buying a pair of gloves and then finding when they arrive that they are both left hands?

With something mechanical it would have to be fitted and connected/running before you would find any issues.

Update off ebay buyer,
I asked the buyer to return the Formuler cover.
(politely)
He said Friday, item will be returned Saturday morning.

I messaged him this morning asking, has he returned my item, if so can you provide tracking details
His response.

WOW, what an effing cheek he has!!

Is that not theft?

No he is keeping the item, as £2.45 is to expensive to return via royal mail.

I have not reimbursed him.
He is keeping the item. With his threats, ebay will remove the negative feedback, if he chooses to leave any. Spoke to eBay earlier.

They will protect you in this circumstance mate.

Scammers like him will resort to anything.

The item in question was clearly described to fit
Z8 Pro, GTV, Z10. We all make mistakes, but he used the
' partially sighted card '
Then got aggressive.
We all know ebay favour the buyer, that's why I just rolled over, ya cannot please everyone mate.
