Is it possible the seller didn't apply SP1 / 2 and did a rest of world extension (ie non Europe) so it's seeing the VIP side? Even with the SP2 added for a year there's still a value (Satellite Service) shows 0000-00-00 etc as the date so guess they can use that if they ever decide to do another add-on type thing.

Just had some dialogue with the vendor. They suggested a factory reset which I have already done numerous times. They have concluded that the viark devices are really slow during this period and takes ages to update. So I guess it’s wait and hope now

They did say something about sky DE is parked and waiting to return which suggests my device is in some sort of queue for updating. In any case I have exhausted all possibilities now and I’m just going to wait and see

I have read this has happened to others and they have tried various firmware’s, of which I had no idea you could do. I thought if you were running 1.X that was it.

When I checked this morning before coming to work. Sky UK was down except couple of channels. Is it going to be intermittent package like last time with power outages on certain hours?

Fingers crossed it’s just all part of the testing/tweaking phase sky de was exactly the same when it first came online but it is stable now.

Hello, I have a Viark 4K and a Viark Sat "updated" to SP2. The service was there within 4 hours for both receivers. Can not complain, everything went fine

Can anybody please tell me how to best back up my channels to usb stick?

This was posted earlier in the thread.
Net & Games, USB then press EPG followed by 1113. Saves channel list and I think Favourites.
When you do it the other way it saves to internal memory so you'll loose it updating to new firmware because it wipes everything

More issues with the viark now;
It really doesn’t like moving the dish doesn’t it.
Whenever you move from sat to sat, doesn’t matter if it’s from V to V, H to H, H to V, V to H. It just suddenly stops moving at all. Doesn’t move, usually have to power down, sometimes overnight before it works again. So frustrating

First time I’ve heard of anyone having issues with the sat 4K the DRS2 is normally the box that struggles to move the dish but it isn’t to bad now after a few firmware updates.

My Viark Sat 4k moves my motor without issue (albeit the option for fine step movement similar to e2 boxes seems to be missing) and SP2 worked straight away.

My preffred setup is having my Viark going into the HDMI IN of my Gigablue Quad 4K. The Gigablue will contol the motor with its menus overlapping the what the Viark is showing on screen, and without the need to change HDMI sources.
I recently bought a priority switch but I've yet to it up.

I use mine in the same way I just put a 2 way DC splitter near the boxes and use by solo4k to drive the dish and motor. I then put the solo4k in deep standby and power on the viark. I've been doing this for 2 years with no problems.
