Not restricted to just iptv, it affects torrents and streaming too. But alot will use proxy sites to access through alsoI've never used a vpn and never been blocked, regardless of which iptv or which isp I have used.
If they block a domain, the provider changes it at his end, the isp think it's a big success but in reality it was a 15 minute workaround and everyone just carries on watching what they want.
They can block 7,000 domains, they can block 70,000 domains or 7 million, it won't have any effect
i don't see how they could, if they are true to their wordI doubt the VPN providers would comply to any requests, easily in any case. As someone said before, most providers are very Privacy conscious and would be fully aware that the moment they hand over any user data, it would tremendously hurt their business model. Customers would cancel their subscriptions in the masses.
I suppose they could buy vpn addresses like a lot of streaming companies do and start blacklisting vpn server ips but that would be quite unnecessary. It would still work for security purposes in that case. I think they know that everyone won't be back but even if they can frustrate a small percentage of Iptv users enough to buy cable from them again they'll try and do it. The cat and mouse game will continue until prices decrease!VPNs have a use case for so much more than streaming IPTV, therefore I think it would be difficult to target them directly.
I.E to ensure you not subject to a MITM on public wifi, users would use a VPN to encrypt their traffic. (Just one of many reason people decide to use one)
They could block VPN providers IPs, but there are multiple countries, multiple servers/ with hundreds of IPs from loads of VPN providers. The VPN provider would just sue the ISPs as it’s unfair for a service provider to say those IPs as being used for illegal activity as there will be a multitude of different traffic egressing the VPN providers networks on those IPs of which lot will be legitimate traffic.I suppose they could buy vpn addresses like a lot of streaming companies do and start blacklisting vpn server ips but that would be quite unnecessary. I should imagine it would be difficult to block vpns how do you know is what is legit traffic so to speak. They could block VPN providers IPs, but there are multiple countries, multiple servers/ with hundreds of IPs from loads of VPN providers. So tough one in my opinion.
They already exist so I am led to beleivethe only way i can see of stopping this is to lean on the data centres to stop them accepting servers as clients.
the only issue with that is the fact that there will always be someone willing to takt the risk for remuneration![]()
