Wooshbuild Support Thread

You will never see the select screen resolution with WooshBuild as it is preset, so it sounds like you flashed something other than BaseBuild or WooshBuild.

In the zgemma folder is normally another folder depending on your box. Inside there is a file called noforce. RENAME it to force.

Turn your box off, put the usb into the box and turn it on. This will force the box to flash whatever image you have on the USB stick. BaseBuild already has this done for you though.

Thanks for the info Wooshman! Was my fault think it was a faulty usb drive, changed it this morning and has worked. Thanks again for taking the time to reply. :)

Whooshman have you any idea why you can't remove your VPN account on digibit plugin cos if you click on it nothing happens using zgemma box?

Hi, I had issues when upgrading to WB7 with my lines not working, anyway i flashed it back to a WB6 image i had and it worked for a while (lines still did not work) but now the zgemma h2s wont boot. It starts counting the numbers then they go randomly up to 50 then 76 then 20 etc.....

I will reflash the box with WB7 and re-enter lines etc but... - i have 2 usb's with loads of content stored on them which i dont want wiping. I can remove these from the box whilst Im flashing new image but Im concerned if I come to plug back in they may need initialising etc and may get wiped??
what is my best way to deal with this?
thanks

i`ve been using this build on my zgemma and just upgraded to vu+ solo2.....
before i set it up i`m wondering if the vu+ is classed as supported with openATV and/or is it generally safe to do software updates with this box/build once set up?
also i`m pretty sure i recall reading that the vu+ does`nt need swapfile or something like the zgemma did.....
can anyone confirm if this is the case please.....the vu+ has a 750gb internal hdd and i assumed i`d be putting swapfile on that similar to what i did with zgemma and usb.

Im running the solo2 on wb7 and yes its safe to do the software updates just like you did on the h2s. Basebuild sets up exactly the same way it creates the swap file for you. I can honestly say Ive never had any problems with this box running any wooshbuild version

I will have a look and update the plugin as needed. Maybe I didn't make it do anything when you select it.

A swap file in general is not required as most newer boxes will clear the memory as it goes. WooshBuild still contains cache flush to always free up memory every 5 minutes.

A swap file is only required should the box not have enough memory to perform a task it has been asked to do. It would then use the swap file. This o a whole never happens today.

BUT - Having a 256mb swap file on your storage device doing nothing is much better than your box crashing because it ran out of memory.
