OPENBOX V8-SE (Plus) IPTV Xtream App

FTP what exactly ?

I was thinking how do you go about adding an app to the box
then I got thinking it's closed source it's not open source like E2 boxes so
it wouldn't work.

However, the video above shows an Xtream app for the SE model and Yojiatech haven't released any new firmware for that either.
(They are the box manufacturers) So i'm a bit confused, I know about M3U files but as mentioned above
my server doesn't supply them, it's a MAC address type login or using an XC plugin with a config file
which is a similar method to using the Xtream set up.

I'm getting a mates box to play around with in the next day or two so i'm interested
in getting this working if it's possible.

There is one man who would know and thats the reaper,No way can you ftp to the openbox,The firmware is not not built for it,The main guy from china has been over to the uk in the last week or so and the reaper would have updated any new info
 
He may do in the future he is offering anyone with sat subs to move across
to an IPTV server he has just set up for the remainder of their sub,
then renew on the IPTV server, everything is automated on the site.

I was wondering if the box in the first post is actually a V9s which states it can handle IPTV

openbox will have an extreme upgrade ..but you will have to contact distributors this will be chargeable and not free ..as they say there engineers worked hard to re configure the firmware and they will not give it out for free ....:

as we are distributors and deal with the manufacturers direct we awaiting on release - so all members dont go with all the"so called" miracle sayers......ther is no official release yet ..

There are v8s clones who have beaten openb"x and these are availlable if u know where to get them from ......

With all due respect, how is that going to work ?

Surely one person pays for the upgrade, dumps it from the box to a USB stick
and posts it on a forum. Then it's out there for all to use.
 
Oh, I see where your comming from, what about people
who have bought boxes from Ebay and have genuine boxes just not from an official distributer.

Do they get to use the service ?

Also any idea on price ?
 
you can contact any distributor like us..who LMAO hasnt disapeared / or run from all the users they F**d up..."mentioning fleabay lmao".

pricing should be about the price £25 or so ....not sure yet bud maybe less or more

and wait to hear some more.
 
It says you will be able to download it on the 30th but you have to pay for it due to their costs developing the new software.

Unfortunately manufacturer has still not managed to release new Plus firmware for OPENBOX V8S which can be upgraded by USB or Network.
Currently only option is to send the boxes to us to get them upgraded to the new Plus firmware with Xtreamcode app.
As you are aware that there is a fee of US$6 charged by the manufacturer to activate the new firmware on OPENBOX V8S.
There are two options now either wait for USB firmware and can buy that firmware for $6 or send the box to us to upgrade it for you.
We have decided not to charge any profit or extra fee for ourselves from the customers but only to charge the return postage cost. We will charge £5 each box plus £5 return postage.
Please also note that £5 return postage will cover up to 10 boxes. For example if you send us 10 boxes you will only pay £50 for the activation and £5 only for the return postage (total £55).
Payment Method:
As we are not charging any profit and also the firmware is an intangible item therefore we will not be accepting any PayPal payments. Only cash or bank transfers.
As previously explained that new firmware can't be installed by anyone regardless how expert they are in IT or technical. As each box will be activated by the manufacturer via their server remotely. And only our computer is authorised to connect to activating server. I am going to post a video which show how the box is activated to explain that it is nothing to do with flashing or RS232 cable.

I have a copy of the upgraded firmware file, It can neither be applied by USB or RS232 using the commonly available firmware upgrade software tool. It would seem that the firmware is reading a checksum or number from the embedded ROM in the V8S and can therefore only be restored to that box should the need arise.
Seems we will have to hand over our £££'s lads !!
I have a buddy in Manchester who took his V8S to the shop this evening and paid a fiver to get it upgraded and he says it works absolutely fine.
