basically I bought a zgemma h2s in October and now all I get is a red dot on the box,no picture etc,was working ok until now,i don't have a clue about these boxes either or how to fix it,thanks

Probably need to reflash it mate. you can grab a image fromcthis site ready to go.

Obvious things first.
Switch off from the rear power button and leave for a minute then power back on.
Does the box boot then count up to 100 ?
If it does then change batteries in the remote to make sure the signal is being received.

Was it working before? Have you tried pressing the power button on the front? Like Beni said, the remote or batteries may be dead.

My son had the same problem and it was the hdd had messed up. I installed a 16gb usb and set up the swap file iniatised it, timeshift and epg and it all worked fine then I repaired the HDD and did the same with that and it is fine now.
