Crypto currencies

And to think I looked at this several years ago (bitcoin was $100..) and decided it was too risky to bother with....... ( Then Mt Gox went bust)

i was looking at mining it around the same price when we had free leccy in one of the pubs.

never bothered in the end but heyho, at least im healthy and all that crap

I looked at mining when it first started, when you could use a fairly simple server/computer but thought it was going to be a fad and nothing would come of it, now you need specialised/high powered hardware (expensive) and deep pockets for leccy bill. Oh if only I could go back in time lol

hindsight is a wonderful thing

there are loads of guides from the simple exchange currency to another currency along with the more in depth margin trading stuff.

take your time, have a play and it will start to sink in

Ethereum going well it seems..hope i dont scud it by saying that lol. So what sort of fees am i expected to be hit with when selling on coinbase, and do they charge again when you decide to withdraw your gbp or euros that you get from selling?

99% sure theres not bud,

once its in your euro/gbp wallet thats what you get ;-)

dont sell lol,

i bought 1000 ripple for $280 a couple of weeks ago, theyre $760 now.

292 iota bought at $1.38 each are now $5.35 each

dont mess too much, value is in the long term imo.

Theres that many now i wouldnt know where to start fs though thats prob the best way to go... The main 3 are seemingly on coinbase but are already way up there at £250 and £650 odd and would realistically need a bitcoin like rise to gain a massive amount on them.

It takes a good bit of reading and some luck.

Google the coins name and then have a look at the crypto forums.

Iota were linked to a tie up with Microsoft a few weeks ago, ripple were due to be listed somewhere on a decent market that I can't remember lol

Both have shot up.

Percentage gains are what you're looking for.

Let's say you have £1k to invest. Put it in bitcoin, youll make very little in a month. Pick the right coin at the right time and it goes from 25 cents to a dollar in a month, exchange it to bitcoin and you have £4k worth of bitcoin.

Play the game but keep the majority in bitcoin.

Some coins may take a couple of years to make a good gain but it's a long term thing for me ;-)

I had some Litecoin on Coinbase. Decided to buy Bitcoin, had to 'sell' the litecoin to my Euro wallet (fee 9 euro) ; then buy bitcoin with money from my Euro wallet (fee 9 euros). I may have been doing it wrong, but couldn't see any other way to do -- So, watch out for Charges....

Absolute nightmare trying to get an account at the moment, it seems most places can't cope with the influx of new registrations

i sent a bitcoin payment 3 days ago, the transaction has had 100's of confirms but the recipient still hasn't updated saying they have received them, things seem awfully slow. Was going to buy more bitcoins this morning and maybe exchange some to ethereum but may don't know how long it's all going to take

Yeap, the whole thing seems to be on a go slow at the moment.
I've been waiting days for a simple verification (still waiting) to open a account at a few exchanges.
Others have shut the door lol

what exchanges you with? I use blockchan.info for my wallet and they use coinify for buying etc, but blockchain.info only offers bitcoin and ethereum
