E001 on skybox F3

Cant get a picture on skybox F3.
I get the E001 message on front of box lcd display
Any body any ideas what could be wrong

I have got that message too just after trying to upgrade my Skybox F3. I can't seem to recover it by RS232 null-modem cable as well. Just keep getting the same E001 message.

Same here mate. The guy who I purchased the box from is sending me the software I will try that out and if it works I will pm you

I contacted the guy that supplied me the box and he also sent me the firmware SB.abs it was called. Just flashed mine and now it works.

Edit: He also told me not to flash any other firmware or anything except tv database files.

Try this Skybox F3 E001 Fix - Downloads - TechKings

If that doesn't work you will have to contact the person who supplied the Skybox F3 to you and see if they have a working firmware for you.
