help with recording

Hi all I've a big problem I've just had my second cable put in so now I can record . Problem is now when I record it records the program but when I change channel it says tune fail

Have you checked the second tuner by it self? Could be a dodgy tuner?

Have you Configured you second tuner To Single 28.2 as you may have disabled it setting up for a single cable

Yea it is all the same bar disque a says yrs and b says no other wise it wont work

Sorry I forgot to say it records normal bit when I change channel then it says tune fail but goes back to normal when I return to a different channel.and not the one I'm recording on

Both Disque should be set to No if you only have 1 sat

Tich is right.
Unless u have multiple/motorised lnbs/dish disque should be off on both tuners.
Also ensure the 2 sat cables are in correct ports.
Top and bottom right as u look at back of box. The port under the other is empty.

Vix mate both cables in right place if I have disque both on no for some reason it says tune fail

Once I've set both tuners up do I need to do anything else I. E scan as it's still not working

Check your signal Strength on both tuners Menu >set up >service searching> Satfinder

I have done that and a shows nothing but I swapped both cables over and a stills shows nothing

Thats odd should show something I would check cables if they are ok if you have spare ports on lnb shift over and try them

Yea it is weird as there new today new 8 port lmb new cable ect so not sure what is going on but of sat finder my A is not locked

Should be both locked Hope they didn't knock dish out of alignment when changing Lnb?

With nothin recording do any channels show tune failed?
I would recommend a reflash to reset all. Then even an automatic scan followed by abm scan.
If that fails you may have an incompatable lnb!

I think I will try a flash ect but lmb is a brand new one my mate put on who works for sky
