how to download kryptview fireware

hi i just bought this kryptview off ebay do you know if i have to download fireware or do i have to plug a null modem lead into my box or will it just work by just downloading fireware to my computer please help im stuck.

Check the system info page on the box, if it has the 11/11/12 on the box its fine if not it will need to be updated !

or was the box a kv 700,you have not saidyet
