In vix 256mb

Hi all, please can someone explain the 256mb in vix, why does it need to be set to that one, I'm a novice at the H2h box and just trying to get my head around it all. I have connected a 1 terabyte seagate portable hardrive to mine .

Swap for do you mean? Just like a page file on Windows say. A bit more breathing space if needed..
