Is there a way of recieving sky channels for free without paying for a gift server?

And ive just purchased amiko alien2 with enigma hdmu image...will i need to purchase a gift server?

very much doubt it, you can get free 'gifts' but free usually means crap or non working

At the moment using kryptview a780 for the virgin channels with auto update....

Can i simply connect my amiko alien 2 to virgin cable line and work normally like the kryptview or do i need something else?

Because someone on ebay offered me combo gift for virgin and sky for £45. Do i need the virgin gift if the cable line is live ??
