THIS IS A SKY UK CHANNLE NUMBER LIST FOR VU+ BOX ALSO SHOULD WORK ON(DREAMBOX
NOT 500 AND OTHER ENIGMA2 BOX

Ok I know you can download a channel list from from online but
they are not in full sky number order
So over the last week i have compiled a list sky numbers and also
favs unlike other lists i have tried you do not get a blank screen
with this list as you go up and down with the channel buttons
(ie it will jump to the next available channel)

So you can now use the sky online tv guide Sky Guide TV Listings - Sky

PLEASE DO NOT DELETE ANY INFO OR CHANNELS FROM THE LIST AS THIS WILL PUT THE CHANNELS NUMBERS OUT OF ORDER

it will not work on the f3. however, somebody on this site has done one i cannot remember who it is.

Sorry for asking a silly question, how easy is it to import this in to dreambox edit?
Anyone got any instructions on how to do this??
Am fine with sorting bouquets and sending and receiving but putting in .rar files - slightly apprehensive!
Thanks

Hi - I've set-up my Vu Duo (Vix) following the guide from this forum, installed this bouquet and run 'Automatic scan' within the Service searching menu.

Some FTA channels work immediately, some are very sketchy (lines on screen etc.) and others just don't show (unless I search for an alternative source using the yellow button).

Obviously I'm completely new to this - any ideas on how to get it sorted?

I may be wrong, but if you have put in this channel list, then you go to the service searching area, then Autobouquet maker, then start scan, that scans for the channels in the bouquet added.
I have recently done this with my octagon (VIX) and that is how I got mine going.

Thanks - I can't try this yet as I ran a software update and now a stream of "Your reciever encountered a software update..." messages keep coming up on screen (not all the same). Will the box eventually correct itself, or do I need to manually restart it?

Thanks in advance if you can advise on this...

I think, (I don't know, I am new to VIX also) that your box is trying to download the latest VIX (zeus?) So, I would leave it for now, however if it lasts for a couple of hours, I would start worrying. if push comes to shove you can go to setup, then Factory reset, then start from scratch.

These enigma 2 boxes are a little more complex to set up, but very worthwhile, once we start getting into them, plenty of capabilities.

Enjoy, but don't panic ;)

Nothing was happening - it kept looping through the same messages, so I rebooted the box (via switch on the back).

Now when I reboot the box (via the on-screen menu), a message appears on-screen which starts

OnlineVersionCheck
Error: [Failure instance: Traceback: <type

After that, a load of var / usr references are listed. I've got no idea what this means - in addition ftp via Filezilla no longer works.

A quick look online suggests I need to run a factory reset and start again - I can't wait to figure out what I'm doing here!

i take it you did set the tuners up first. you dont need to bother with channel lists use autoboquets and pick sky uk or irl depending on where you live. it will give you a channel list the same as sly if you use the all channels list. donot do online updates till you understand what tou are doing. i would re-flash the image again and start from scratch.

what image are you on was it the older 808 as no software update works and maybe that screwed things up,sometimes by powering off at rear first for 20 secs then on can clear bugs, are you on the new zeus image as if you missed some updates might give box heartburn lol

Thanks for the earlier advice all. I've flashed the box (Vu Duo - latest Vix image) and got as far as loading this bouquet back on to the box, however I now need to set-up the EPG. Two questions on this...

1. Should I use CrossEPG or Rytek?
2. How do I scan for channels? The last time I set-up the box, I used set-up/service searching/automatic scan, however this seemed to leave me with a very poor service (e.g. half the fta channels weren't working very well / at all), so I'm assuming that was the wrong approach.

Just to note, my eventual channel list is planned to include Sky UK and Setanta from Ireland...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Mike123....
You seem very knowledgeable with this... Are you able to help???
How do you set up auto bouquets with VU+ using black hole? Think my box will have to go back to the shop after that, a total factory reset I think.....

with blackhole you have to install autoboquets as a seperate plugin, and to be honest there are quite a few other files you have to get to make it work. you are best just to re-flash using the latest vix image where autoboquets is already installed. i have done a complte guide on this forum on how to set it up.

Mike123,
Thanks for info, I have printed your instructions and have searched and searched and cannot find a site to download the actual image for VIX.
Was going to try and give it a go this weekend...
Any pointers?
Thanks

also note with files there are clone boxes and using original firmware on a clone may brick it,so best to mention if its a clone.
