It reccon it will be more than 2 years as there are an estimated 6+ million sly boxes still in use that can't handle the encryption used on HD, plus all those who use there own box thats not able to handle it. To be honest I can't see sly ever bothering now, those who want HD will pay sly and as more and more channels move to HD there will be a time when SD gets turned off rather than spend all that money encrypting but no-one knows for sure.

Its all a gamble with lines, you use for as long as you can but as loki said atleast 2 years use
