skybox & smart tv

i have a skybox f3 connected to my router with ethernet cable,going to buy smart tv so can i connect both of them to the one ethernet cable,if i can how do i split the cable,

in a word no u can not really split the cable,can u not run a second cable from your router to it or u could look at home plugs for it
