Amiko Mini HD Combo Tutorial

Stuck at the first Hurdle

Ok got my Cable in the RF.

Looked up the correct Frequency for my area so my Level and Qualitys are in the 90% but when I scan for channels it doesn't find any?

What could I be doing wrong?

me to i had bricked my box then got it up and running again found the right frequency got 90% on both level and quality
but still no channels
i have only copyed the same procedure as before i bricked the box and it worked fine but now after recovering it after bricking it not one channel
anyone any ideas????
 
hey everyone can anyone help me im new too this i need a file for rs232 amiko mini t2/c ali3612 looked everywhere none is helping i put wrong file on, does anyone have this chipset plz
 
I have just bought the amiko mini hd combo se, but most of my channels have a $ infront of them? What do I do? Not very technically when it comes to new toys, any help would appreciated
 
hi there, just got my mini hd combo, i put the wrong software on it and its stuck on sw not designed for this hw, where will i get the loader to flash it...? thanks in advance.
 
anyone help me i got sat side sorted but when i scan cable side for chasnnels it just reboots its self half way through the scan all settings are right using lavatronics latest firmware 29/1/15

Me to I have give up on mine and bought a q5
But would be nice to a picture of someone's running box on cable of system information
To give me some idea were mine is wrong?
 
i tried all roads firmwares upgrade downgrade ect finds loads of channels on cable ok then always crashes mid channel scan so unable to save channels its found.
satside works fine and i know i have all the right cable settings cause i have another cable only box and that works ok
 
Can someone put a picture up with there line in please so I can see were I type it in please...... Just change it a little so no one can take your line

The numbers counting from 01 02 03 .......14 is the Deskey, it's already filled in.

Select the Emulator as newcamd and make sure active server button is selected.

Just look for the "spaces" in you line, then you can see it it splits into the four parts
 
Just wanna say thanks to Bee's for getting me all set up on the cable side in a flash (no pun intended) took about 15 mins and I'm a bit of a tech-tard so should be doable for almost anyone :)
Just gotta get my Fave's organised now, this will take longer than the rest of the set-up im sure :)


Just one quick question for anyone in the know, are the recorded files ok to play back on PC? I have no problems with needing to remux them to another container or even re-encode them to another format if need be (rather not re-encode but is not the end of the world).

Hi lads

It looks like this is the only thread that I might be able to get my Mini combo sorted out. My sky satellite channels work,but cant fathom how to get my channels working.. i live in Batley west Yorkshire,but don't know what te frequency and where to enter it in. I can see both my sky and cable subs have already been entered in,but no cable channels. I have read the instructions by Bees, but can someone give me bit more info. I updated firmware from Lavtronics.There were two (emu and cas), which one do I use. Thanks guys
 
Thanks for replying, is that just from the $ channels or including FTA, Im doing some googling on the matter and finding conflicting info TBH which is a pain.

Also DRM can be removed with a Aimersoft tool aparently so thats no biggie, I got no problem paying for that if it works.

There are issues with cable on newer FW's so maybe try this and follow Bees guide again, and see how you get on. All I can say is it worked like a charm for me :)
As for you're Freq ect, you can get this from a official virgin box, if you or someone you know has one, sorry to say I can't remember the options you go to to find it, but it is there, I did it only yesterday, obviously they will need to live locally to you so you have the same Freq (I'm assuming this) so just put that in, with the other details all (i think can be found in the same place on a Teevo box)
