ET8500 QUAD TUNER Two tuner xtrend 8500 for cable

Thanks dangerous mate. Just for your info I have a single cable to the box and a short loop as advise on this forum, don't know if that makes any difference just thought I'd mention it.

I haven't had time to check out the latest drivers properly on the ET8500 as I'm at work all weekend.
I thought there was a fault on it the other day when there was a message saying it had switched to the recording channel because there were no free tuners.
I checked the timers and it actually was recording 4 things at once but I've only watched one of the recordings and that was fine.
I will give it a good workout on Monday and if there are problems I'll just put the 4.1.016 drivers back on until there's a better fix lol

I can't find a 4.1.016 image for this box?
So I'm guessing that option isn't going to work for me?
The 4.1.016 vix image this thread is referring to is for the xtrend 8500.
The mutant HD51 image started at 4.2.011
You would only need to go backwards if your having issues and a confirmed previous image is known to resolve an issue.

Yes I did realise the thread was referring to xtrend 8500 and that the image for my box didn't start till the 4.2.011 vix image release.
l was just stating the obvious really. Sorry
I can confirm though definitely do have issues with recording on mutant HD51.

I've been following this thread with interest. Last week I set the box to record a film. So I sat down to watch the movie, I started playback and the recording was unwatchable with lots of pixelation and jumping all the way through. On general viewing of all the channels the picture quality is excellent with no interference. This is the first time I have recorded anything on this box. I'm now wondering if this is the same thing that has been discussed in this thread?
I have the new Mutant HD51 4K DVB Twin Tuner with OpenVix image 4.2.020. with twin (Hybrid DVB-C /T / T2) tuners.
I'm very impressed with the box though I'm no expert. I've only had the Zgemma H 2S to compare it to and it's a lot faster than that box as you might expect for the price.
Its very well known on another forum that supports the mutant boxes w-s that there are simular issues with the drivers that the xtrend has been having and not fixed as yet

In fact I originally purchased a Miraclebox Premium Twin Plus and had exactly the same problem with the satellite tuners. I returned it. According to W_S, the drivers are same as the Xtrend.

Seems to be a common problem with all the top brands at the moment, time will fix these
