HD51 4K help with oscam on mutant hd51

OK why not put a request into the line forum looking for nline that support Oscam?

cannot understand the reason why providers don't like you using Oscam, surely decent providers would encourage this set up?
 
hi can anyone please help, I have a mutant HD51 that will only use OSCAM, I have been sent a line CCcam.cfg & newcamd.list format, how to I get my 3 (oscam.server oscam.conf & oscam.user) files please. idiots guide needed.

The best place to start is by asking your supplier.

Don't fancy sending me those instructions as well do you dangerous? Trying to get oscam working on a Mutant HD51 twin cable box this evening. Getting conflicting info at the moment. Cheers fella. (Using latest VIX by the way).

ifyou stuck maff i be home 5.30 but going out 6.30ish

Thanks. Nothing through yet. Managed to get it running, not performing too well though. Slow to change channels,and a few not clearing. Ive scanned both tuners again,and run Autobouquetmaker but it must be to do with the oscam configuration. I'll do some more reading and see if I can come up with anything. Thanks buddy.

Not sure were my message has gone lol

I've put a back up Image in downloads section for twin cable ATV if you want to try that, it's got Oscam configured and working great as it's what I'm using. You could flash it and take out the oscam files and swap them over to vix if you wanted. Or I'll speak to you a little later. ;-)

what makes you think its oscam, can you post your log and remove any sensitive information. I have been using oscam for well over 3 years, on various boxs from dm500, dm800 zgemma unibox and solo2 and never had any problems at all

oscam far superior compared to cccam or mgcamd
 
Just thought I'd share how I got it to work using latest VIX image. Here are the files I used. This is not my work,just came across it on another site and thought it may be of interest. The files will need to be extracted before use.

Oscam files for VIX image - Downloads - TechKings

These settings are from OpenViX with the config files in /etc/tuxbox/config
The oscam.server file should be the same on different versions in different locations.
If you have 2 lines it will automatically switch to the best line.

edit the oscam.server file and insert your details in:

device = servername and port (the comma needs to be there)
key = 0102030405060708091011121314 (as in a newcamd.list)
user = username
password = goes without saying

There are 2 readers in my oscam.server file because I have different lines for Sly and VM.
If you only have one line, delete the other reader. You can change the label as you like.

EXAMPLE
[reader]
label = Skynewcamd
protocol = newcamd
device = skyserver.net, port
key = 0102030405060708091011121314
user = username
password = password
inactivitytimeout = 60
group = 1
emmcache = 1,3,31
blockemm-unknown = 1
blockemm-u = 1

would someone mind emailing me the instructions, currently running zgemma cable nline and would love to upgrade to mutant hd51 4k openvix. i just want to see if i can manage with the instructions before i order box to be delivered tomorrow. Thanx guys
