Thanks for the reply, the free to air channels are now working but not the payed, ive copied my newcamd text file to usr/keys folder and in the softcam panel ive gone right and selected mgcamd and tried restarting it and still nothing, any ideas?

download this and extract http://www97.zippyshare.com/v/FajjQJSG/file.html in cam files folder you will see newcamd.list open with notepad and edit add you details, and send over newcamd.list with mg_cfg from folder ftp to var/keys

Then blue button softcam panel softcam go to cam one set ag mgcamd green button to star or restart

Great stuff paid channels working, thanks so much for the help, going to read back through this thread now see if i can get epg listings sorted, also ive got a usb stick in back does the epg get stored on that? And can i set it up to record onto that usb stick?

Great, ok yes few post back you will see regarding epgemporter and how to set it...

For usb blue button at bottom you will see harddisk go to initialize and initialize it... then you need to set up timeshift and create a swap drive its all in the settings u will see..... and yes u can record onto usb stick..... epg menu/ setup / you should see epg go in that menu and make sure it is set to media/hdd it should already be set... if its set to internal just change it :)

Right i have ticked the 6 boxes as shown in pic and pressed yellow to import, took about 5 mins and finished but the epg is still mostly blank apart from odd channels, i only pressed yellow on the top tick hought do i have to import each one ticked one by one?am i doing something wrong, sorry for being a pain a promise u wont ear from me once its all done [emoji23][emoji23]

Ignore last message i have sorted it gone through them one by one and its done it, the screen view is slightly cropped tho if you know what i mean, like the size of screen needs changing, do i do that through the box somewhere?
Im abit stuck about where to find create swapfile too..

And in epg settings its set to internal flash, is that correct or does it need changing to media hdd

Epg set to hdd.... i aint home at the minute to actually tell u where the settings are, but to change screen should be in usage&gui settings you will just have to look about mate :)

Alternatively just go to say bbc one in the list you are displaying, press ok, then blue for favourites and your channel list will be vm.

Hi mate, was hoping you could help me with something.

First of all, many thanks for the build it’s great!

One small problem I’m having is with the blue loading circle top left of the screen that’s appearing every minute or so and slows the box down. I’ve done some digging around and have changed timeshift settings and deleted some plugins etc to reduce stress on the box but nothing seems to be solving the issue.

Any advice?

You could try saving your epg settings to hdd (as opposed to internal flash) if you havent already, use a bigger usb to save picons and epg if you have one spare, remove any plugins you dont use and do a software update. Personally recommend all of the above anyway.

hi, i have downloaded the folder and put it on the usb. but when i plug it in it doesn't flash. so i downloaded the openATV version and that did but obviously it's bare and i want a fully loaded version any advise?

Mikey - I flashed the image and can see the Xmas screen. When it gets to 70% on boot it disconnects and I get "No Signal" message. I have zgemma star h2. can you advise?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply.

I’ve deleted a ton of plugins, changed location of EPG to HDD. My stick is a 32GB, you think this could be the issue? I’m not convinced it’s that as I have the issue still there even when the stick is 90% free.

As for doing an update online, when I open software-update I have 72 updates available, should I be installing these 1 by 1?

Tried various things but nothing seems to be working at the mo so I’m a bit stumped.

Mate your usb is certainly big enough. I was just putting out things to try as a few folk have the same issue. Its not unique to this image as I had it previously using a pre build.

Re the updates you dont need to do them if you dont want to but I always update. You just update them all in one go mate.

Might be worth taking a backup just in case something goes awry. I have all the updates though as of today and still running sweet.

I take it that the only thing you are sending to the usb is the zgemma folder? You dont send the whole Mikey B folder.

Try reflashing it mate. I take it you do have the cable tuner in b yes properly fitted? Is your cabling and f connectors ok?

Appreciate the work but really struggling to get going on mgcam. Image fine but only fta 1-5 channels, to clarify, line goes in var/keys NOT user/keys?
