Wooshbuild Support Thread

Updated WB from V6 to 7 all seemed ok. Now getting picture distortion. Ok on picture through terrestrial. Should I reflash from the back up or is there a quick fix on this.

Ok solved problem (I think)

Menu - Setup - Video - Basic settings - Display 4:3 from stretch non-linear to stretch linear.

Didn't try other options as this seemed to fix it.

Hi hope sombody can help i have tried to help myself with the search bar but am struggling with the blue spinning circle every 30 seconds box is a new formuler f1 have installed woosh 7.2 first flash i said no to initialising the hard drive to preserve recorded programs. But because of this problem i started again from basebuild and let it have its way with my hard drive! (ooo err missus)
Things seem to be laggy for the couple of seconds the symbol is on but inbetween it is very quick.
I have re initialised hd, remounted hd, tried to convert from ext3 to ext4 but not sure if that does any good i tried to disable timeshift none of this seems to make any difference.
I do like it when something goes wrong but only when i can fix it now i'm getting anoyed haha
 
Two things I've noticed.
Keyboard settings aren't set to English
Auto standby isn't switched on.

Something for the next update and to be added to the list of settings when a future atv update occurs wooshman?

Have you added any plugins since the update or is it a clean update? Also you say you tried to disable timeshift but I'm not sure if you actually did? This is quite often the cause of the dreaded spinner.
The spinner signifies that the CPU is rather busy, so sometimes it can be a bit of a poser to trace what is hogging it. Not a great believer in it, but can do no harm, did you setup a swap file on your HDD ?
Also I assume you have setup your EPG importer to save to HDD and not internal.

Thanks for getting back to me i have just reinialised and created a new 256 swap file.still the same.
yes it was a clean install from basebuild.
how do you stop the timeshift? what i did is menu/setup/timeshift/enable auto record off.
yes i have added plugins deleted them again they did n't make any difference.
it is a poser for me this.

Keyboard settings aren't set to English ? Can you have a different language keyboard?
There isn't an auto standby as far as I am aware. If there is I have never seen it to turn on so nothing has changed from the last version.

You need to change the setting to start timeshift after x seconds - set to 2 as standard. Auto record should be off by default or you will end up with everything you have every seen on your TV recorded.

What happens if you don't have your drive connected? Does it still show up?

It was set to another language in the keyboard settings.

Hi yes i have timeshift set to as you say i just pulled out the hard drive did same pluged it into the second rear usb still got the spinner
i can see another reflash coming lol

you know you said you just pulled out one stick then plugged in another....are you actually initializing these sticks when you plug them in?

Hia mate yes took it out of the h2s I use to have flashed from basebuild first time without initialigning 2nd flash I let it do everything can't get to play with it again until Saturday as I'm away with work
 
Is there a whooshbuild v7 that will work on the early zgemma box h1

Is there a wooshbuild image i can flash direct on to H2s. I only have wifi and base build requires you to be connected to internet hard wired

When basebuild is running on the box, press and hold the blue button. From there you can setup your wireless adaptor as needed. Once done you can use BaseBuild as normal.
 
Big fan of Wooshman's build. I have just got a Mutant HD51, does anyone know, rather than troubling him to do one, whether one of the existing versions will work on it and if so which box do I select? Not hopeful, but doesn't hurt to ask!
