Guide How to set up an E2 combo box with vix image

I've set my zgemma h1 as bees guide. I'm on openvix 3.2.007. I'm ok on the sat side, but cable is new to me. looking for the net id I get, net id 00015 freq 826250 symbol rate 6887 from the list on the forum.
so I set that up, tho not sure where to put the frequency and tried a manual scan for tuner b which is set to cable dvb-c, config mode - enabled, net id - 00015, used service scan type - freq bands, yes to all QAM, scan additional SR - 6887. green to save. a manual scan on tuner B finds 0 channels.
any idea on what I've got wrong? or things to check. just trying fta channels at the moment, I know theres just a few sd free on cable but no use getting a line until I can sort this out.
an automatic scan completes the sat, but gives error scanning as soon as its supposed to scan cable

if I go to signal finder, and look at tuner B, I can change freq to 826, and symbol rate to 6887, but get no signal and finds 0 on scan.

edit: seems to be ok now. I set everything else up as I wanted, tried the box today and all good so far.

try one of these, I didn't see Salford but this is closest. net id is 41040 or 41060, hope that helps

Cheers bro, turned out it was Manchester 1, needed to do a factory reset to purge Liverpool data from box. Well it worked afterwards, but not before so can only assume thats what the issue was....
 
HELp please. Hi I just got zgemma star s single tuner, i've uploaded image i got off friend and manually added line on it, but none of the channles works except FTA, ive tried the line on my twin tuner and works fine on that. What could the problem be please? any help appreciated
 
Hi guys, Can anyone tell me if the guide posted by Bees on the first page of this thread is the same procedure for people with UPC in Dublin, Ireland? Like would I need to flash with the same image and download the same MG Cam as stated in the guide? Thanks in advance
 
The set up will be the same, you don't need to flash an image
you just buy the box pre loaded with Vix, then follow the guide.

you will need a line from a UPC server and the net id and symbol rate
for your area.
 
What box are you going to order ? Are you looking at a Zgemma ?

They aren't supported by Vix so the set up will be slightly different.

You may be better off playing safe with a combo type box, if you get stuck on the cable side you could always use it for sat.

Think your biggest problem is finding a server over your side, there doesn't seem to be
much info about although they do exist as I have seen posts in various places.

Also seen a few posts from people who have found a server but are looking for net id's too.

Lots of info for UK about but reading over a few different sites, things seem a bit more hush hush where you are.

See you are looking at the Zgemma from the other thread lol

Haha yeah I was strongly thinking of getting a Zgemma H1 box as I saw from the other thread that these were working on UPC? I read that they are supported by OpenVIX, is this the same VIX you are talking about? I'm a total newbie to these cable boxes
 
They aren't officially supported by Openvix, but the box can run with a modded Vix image,
lots of people use this image, and the vix team aren't too happy about it.

They are supported by OpenATV
 
Thanks Bees. I'll have to decide on weather I should get the Zgemma H1 or the Amiko mini HD combo box then.

I might be better off just getting the Amiko mini HD combo at this stage though
 
Please can someone help. Tried everyday I can think of but can't get nline working in cccam or mg cam. I have a cline witch worked fine in cccam
 
Hello mate, just revove the N and replace it with CWS =
If you use sukemnsee's image just go into VAR/KEYS/NEWCAMD and its all set up, just delete everything after CWS = then insert ur line ( minus the N )... you can do the same for the second line if you wish :)
 
Then go to softcam manager and restart mgcam

And an obvious one but well worth a try, just swap your ethernet for another one
