As you can FTP to the box you could lift your backup (if you have made one) from the box & place it on a small capacity usb pen drive (2gb,4gb are best as fast to prep) then flash the box with your backup but your usb pen drive may need some prep before it will flash the box.
IF you made a backup on your usb/hdd another way to get it going then recover it is to download the lastest nightly build & flash it with this base image via a small USB pen drive then once flashed & basic install/settings completed....mount your main usb/hdd with your backup on it then restore from your backup via the remote & navigate to your backups bin file
